If there are no cracks in that area, I would say you are fine. You could probably clean it up with a little bit of sanding and light grinding, but that would just be for looks.

Negative there are no cracks present. Wouldn't hurt to sand it a little. Is it common on these quads?

I bought a GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition camcorder. Says it will be here before April 19th. Really can't wait to ride now!

I didnt start it yesterday because of the weather. So today It started but it went to wide open throttle. I turned it off not thinking and turned it off with the choke on the carb, I think I filled it up with too much fuel; fuel was leaking from the overflow line. I pulled the plug and didnt seem too wet. I havent changed the spark plug since i got it. The center electrode seems so thin.

Checked the spark and didnt get anything. Then I put a screwdriver in the spark plug wire and put it on the head. I didnt get a poke. How would i go about this?

Thanks.

Could it be the woodruff key on the balancer because of the high rev?

Guess I'm a special kind of stupid. The black wire going to the coil came out. Fished the line and here it didn't have a good connection.

Sweating bullets for a second there...

Just a little update. She still runs strong haven't had too many issues with it. I kept loosing spark and I managed to find the leak. They were all connected and zip-tied and it had cut through the line.

I got my Go-pro connected to the helmet and did a few test rides. Very pleased!

Cosmetically I put a new DG front bumper. I'd like to buy ITP Holeshot tires. The rear right tire is a bit wobbly at the rim.

So far no complaints, love it!

Past 2 days I've been having some issues with the fuel. It is blowing way too much blue smoke. I'm running 32:1, the guy I bought it off said he always ran it with Cam2 fuel in it.

It has a stock air filter box with a unifilter in it. Fmf Fatty with a power core. It has a cool head but I have not the slightest clue to the dome size.

The carb has never been cleaned cause I have yet to tackle the 4 bolts on the bowl. My father suggested the float level needs to be adjusted. Would also a re-jet be helpful?

I pulled the spark plug out it was black and wet. I believe the petcock is bad because I keep getting fuel even with it off.

We pull started it; would pop a few times but wouldn't start. On one occasion it did, but when I hit the throttle in attempt to clean it out it died on me and wouldn't start from their.

Also would a 40:1 mix be viable?

40:1 is fine, just don't trust the cheap stuff. Use something decent and you will be fine. 32:1 is a bit smokey compared to something like a chainsaw or string trimmer running 50:1. Has something changed recently? So it is currently not running?

If you have a cool head and he was running Cam2, it is probably a higher compression dome. I believe they are usually labled but you may have to pull the head to see? Hopefully someone with cool head experience will chime in.
