Default suzuki ozark wiring / light problem. Please help!

Hello,
I have a suzuki ozark 2006. Everything on it was perfect, until I decided to add 2 additional lights (LED 27 watt each). I just tapped into the high beam wire and ground wire going to each headlight. As soon as I did that a few adverse things happened.
1) Now my lights will not come on unless the atv is running.
2) The neutral and reverse lights on my dash no longer come on.
3) The electric starter no longer works. When I press the button absolutely nothing happens.
4) The lights flicker at low speeds and they also dim when I press the brake.

Any ideas what this could be? I looked to see if I maybe pulled a wire loose but I do not see anything off.
I also just disconnected the new lights to return everything to factory and I still have the same problems (this tells me its not an amperage problem).

Thank you,
Joseph

You have probably blown the main fuse, this is under a plastic cover on the starter solenoid. If you haven’t, it is still a fault in the wiring between the voltage regulator and the battery or between the battery and earth.

My gut says the new mods drained the battery and mimicked a bad connection which then blew the fuses. Hopefully it's that and not a short somewhere cuz those are tough to find. Definitely check all the fuses. You may have to look into your neutral and parking brake relays too. You have quite a hot mess on your hands. Keep us posted.

Thank you two for the quick replies. You were exactly right. One of the 20amp fuses was blown. I put a new one in and everything is working as it should. This made my day! I think I am going to wire the new lights directly to the battery with an inline fuse and switch.

Thanks again for your help. This was my first post on the forum but I am sure there will be more)
