Just picked up a 230 a few weeks ago. I got it home and noticed play in the front tires. Is that normal? I can sit on the bike and rock it side to side. I can grab the tire and rock it back and forth about an inch or so? Would you suspect bearings or ball joints? Another question, what is the tube called that goes from the air box to the carb? It didnt have one when i got it. I know its alot but one more question. The bike sat for about 6 months. I drained the gas out of the tank and cleaned the tubes then changed the oil. Filled it with gas and got it started by spraying starter fluid. It runs for 3 mins then starts blowing all kinds of white smoke. I looked on the ground and noticed oil dripping out of the muffler. What would cause that?

 

No thats not normal it means ether the wheel bearing, ball joints need replaced. If you plan on riding it change them both. As for the the tube? I removed my air box and picked up a double chamber filter and put an Outerwear cover over it. As for the smoke its time to change the Rings out. I stuck with the stock Ring size 66mm, But once I get her smoking I will change to a hole MM size up.

I cant find the one I ordered, But here's one better and just pickup filter wears or outer wears for it. It will fit snug like mine, But that's ok.
