88 suzuki lt250r upgrades
Hey guys, just snagged a 250r for $150, runs drives, bone stock. Don't think the guy knew what he had.
I havnt done a lot with upgrading wheelers, just wondering what some good upgrades for this would be, as far as motor, exhaust, brakes, etc. is it worth stretching? Thanks for any advice!

Bone stock? I would go through and replace any bearings/bushings/wear items etc. You got a smoking deal so that couple hundred bucks would go a long way towards reliability. Oh, and get a repair manual for it too. Great investment.
For upgrades, a good pipe and upgraded filter will do wonders. If you want a real screamer, we had one with a CT National ported cylinder. That thing had real good low end but just pulled forever. Very rideable power band with the right exhaust.
A rear shock rebuild and even a cheaper set of aftermarket fronts like Works Steelers will greatly upgrade the ride too.
On a budget I would do the exhaust/silencer/intake and let her rip.
