oil light stays on.
New to this, does anyone know where i should post this?
Oil light comes on and stays on...
I just bought a 2005 Eton Viper 90R for my son. It's an oil injected two stroke. The wiring harness was fried when i bought it, this has since been replaced. I had unplugged and stripped down the entire bike for cleaning. Everything, to the best of my knowledge, is plugged back in correctly.
The bike fires right up. The oil light, at first, would light up for a few seconds then shut off. But now that i've started it a few times, the engine oil light comes on and stays on. The oil under the seat is 3/4 full.
I'm new to this so bear with me... is this oil light for that bottle or for the engine itself?
There may be some residual air in the oil injection lines from me having disconnected it, could this be the issue. I get a fair amount of smoke from the tailpipe when the engine is on. What i would compare to other two strokes i've seen. (this is the first one i've owned)
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks - J.S.
