Default suzuki 700 2005 need help

Have2005 Suzuki 700 king quad took to Georgia lease was running fine . I ran down the road it made a clang like something locked up then ran fine the next day it was running through the trees slowly it started stalling and shutting off when putting it in gear .Just put cdi box in it only has 700 miles on bike 50 on new cdi looked down plenum fuel is spraying out of injector it looks like it is putting out a lot of fuel. put new plug in it air cleaner is ok has lack of power and runs almost like it is out of time .Is there anything that could change timing keyway on flywheel or some sensor like throttle position sensor cam sensor or something . The local Suzuki shop is no help they say to bring it in but it is 400 miles away .Any help would be greatly appreciated thankyou

I’ve had a few problems with Suzuki 700 fuel systems. Is the F1 light on when running? If so, get or make a Suzuki injection system test switch and plug into the loom, the fault code number will come up on the speedometer, or -C00 if no fault is detected. If the F1 light is not coming on, the first thing to check is the fuel filter inside the injector. Remove the injector, a fine non removable gauze filter is in the inlet part of the injector. Carefully poke out any silt lodged in there but be sure not to damage the gauze. If that doesn’t improve performance it could be low pressure from the fuel pump, it should be about 45psi. Next check the throttle position sensor, I have had one give the symptoms you describe. Firstly ensure it has not come loose, then mark the position it is now, slacken the mounting screws, move it round a bit, retighten and see if performance improves. If it does for a while and then goes off, get a new sensor. While you have the airbox off check the vacuum sensor pipe is OK. Other problems I have had were a faulty earth for the coil (that came up as a fault code), rodents chewed through the temperature sensor wire (again a fault code) and inlet camshaft seized and moved round on the gear, that took some finding as the timing marks are on the gear so the marks said the timing was OK but the cam was too far out for the engine to run. The owner deserved that one as he had run it out of oil.
