They say to soak the manual clutch pads overnight in oil, what about the centrifugal clutch that mounts to the end of the crankshaft?

The aftermarket shoes are a beige color, the old pads are deep black.

*sigh* 43 views and not even a guess, recommendation or opinion, I'm soaking them overnight, right or wrong.

This is a clutch similar to the Polaris Expedition 425. Just place a good film around the clutch shoes and drum then assemble. All the centrifugal drum type shoes will turn dark from being bathed in the oil after a few years..

Thanks for the reply, the ATV is back together as we speak, just did a five mile ride, gotta break it in you know.

I had difficulties in assembly, I couldn't tighten the manual clutch hub nut(shaft kept free turning) and couldn't get my proper torque on the nut, so I just used an impact. It worked.

Maybe if you start your own thread someone will respond.
Usually dealers have a online parts fiche.
