Quadrunner 80 not cranking
Hey Guys Just got an early 2000s quadrunner 80 in. The guy who owns it explained to me that it was not turning over; he told me he replaced the relay and that didn’t help. I proceeded to test all the switches and wiring that follow them, including the handlebar switch and start button, the key switch, parking break switch, circuit breaker, fuse, starter, ignition coil, charging coil, and the new relay they all checked out ok. I bypassed the relay so the quad would turn over, and noticed it was not getting any spark. The ground for the relay is hardwired into the cdi unit and I am also not getting any spark, so I am assuming that the cdi unit is bad, but I wanted to get a second opinion before I spring for the $150 or so for the new cdi. Anybody have any similar problems, Or any other ideas.
