Our mighty Ozark started blowing the left fuse on the igntion relay (has 2 20amp fuses in it but its only the left one) - it seems to be once the auad revs up or warms up before it blows. I checked the wirkng harness And cant find any grounded wires. Could it be a bad CDI? Runs fine when we first put the fuse in, but when it blows, it misfires and sputters high rpm and will stall out at idle.

Any thoughts?

 

Update: I took off all plastics and check the wiring harness for grounding and also checked all the other components like the stator, neutral relay, starting relay etc and found they all tested OK. Put everything back together and now all works fine. I suspect it was mud or water in a connector shorting something out and just the process of unplugging to test fixed it. Had a couple of good test runs and so far so good.
