LT230GE Idles, dies with throttle.
A buddy of mine and I recently got an 86 lt230ge in great shape for a few hundred dollars. When we got it it didn't run. I have since replaced the air filter, spark plug and soaked the carb/installed a new carb kit. The thing now starts with no problems and idles pretty well actually. The issue we're having is if we touch the throttle, 90% of the time is just cuts out. Sometimes it'll respond to the throttle and rev as usual but most times just cuts out for a second. If i restrict air flow (cover the air hole, or squeeze the tube shut) it revs up on its own as it should because it is being fed just gas.
I looked over all the diagrams of the carb and noticed there were 3 small pieces that I don't see in my carb. I attached a pic of the 3 parts that our carb is missing. They're titled "plate" "plate, needle" and "screw". Are these 3 parts needed to make the carb function correctly?, I can only assume yes but I wanted to get a second opinion before I went ahead and ordered this stuff.
Also I noticed that our air screw does not have a spring, o-ring, or washer on it. Could air be getting in through there?
The quad is 100% stock and the carb is adjusted to be stock as well. I Sprayed starter fluid around the intake boot to see if i could see a leak but everything seems to be sealed well. Any help would be great.
