Just have the battery load tested at an auto store, replace if bad. Check that you're charging 14 volts back to the battery while it's running,to make sure the charging system is ok,then keep it on a cheap $20 dollar battery tender and you'll get years of service on a battery..

I park my ATV from late November to may during the winter . I don,t use a battery tender, I just start it up once a month and let it idle for 5 minutes. Its all I have been doing for years on every ATV I have bought. Same thing with my sleds during the summer months.
I just buy $35 Wal mart "EverStart" batteries and I get at least 4 years out of them.

12v is 12v . As long as the battery fits in the ATVs battery cage/box. Just measure your batteries dimensions and find one at Wal-Mart.
If the battery is a little smaller in width or length just wedge some between the battery and battery cage like wood or cardboard to take up the play.

My Yamaha dealer wanted $150 Canadian for a OEM battery, I bought one at walmart for $60 Canadian . Would of been less if I crossed the border and bought it in the American Walmart store, but I was in a hurry.
I live in a border town.
