Default Shocking lt80

My son and I did a little riding today He has a 2004 lt80, with electric start. The trails were wet and it was sprinkling occasionally.

If I grabbed ahold of bare metal while the atv was running, I would get a little shock.

Do you guys have suggestions of where I should look? Is this a common issue?

If you have a tether on it, I'd say the wires were connected wrong.

I do have one installed. I'll check the installation of that one night this week.

On some models of tether, there is a exposed metal end with one wire on it.
That wire is the ground.
If you put that wire on the stator wire and touch the metal...Ya get a lil jolt. LOL
That's what I was thinking anyways.
I'd also check the wire that grounds the motor to frame.
