really need help 93 suzuki king rear brake

I have a 1993 suzuki king quad 4x4 lt 280. I cannot get the rear hub off to access brakes. I have sprayed wd 40. I really need advise. Thank you

Is the drum stuck in the center or are the shoes holding it??

the drums are not stuck. What happens is when you use the back brake lever the brakes will not release. I have to manually realease them using a crow bar on the lever on the back of rhe tire. the wheel spins freely.

I use a big slide hammer . sounds like the spline is buggered or twisted.

Do you have any tool rental around.

Make sure the lever isn't pulled back to far. If You pull it back to far the shoes will expand out. Is the cable loosened off at the foot pedal to let the shoes retract all the way? Your cable may be sticking too.
