Default 1995 King Quad Rear Axle Replacement

I need to replace the right rear axle of a 1995 King Quad. I have the axle (shaft) on order. I was told that it is as simple as pulling the old axle out and sliding the new axle in. Is that all there really is to it?

This is my first ATV so I ma new at all of the this.

THANKS

Default help me and him please

just picked up a 1994 kingquad Lt-f4wdx.... but while trying out the plow. I apparently lost the rear left half shaft, (the dog bone looking thing) sorry can't seem to know how to add image.

I am chatting with the guy who sold it to me. I do now notice that it didn't have the cv boots... anyway, can anyone point me towards where a used rear shaft might be located. and a fair estimate on if I have a pro work on it?

much appreciated,, I did pick up a clymer's. but would like to hear from so of you who have been around these quads

I have looped a piece of small chain through the u-joint and hooked it to a slide-hammer.

Default awaiting fix

they guy I bought it from, took it to his atv guy, now apparently when he was moving it around in his garage, he started it up, tried to drive it, and the cv joint broke on the other, right rear drive shaft... can anyone tell me if there were some with boots and others without boots covering these areas... my clymers book states they should have boots, but the guy fixing it says that there were a number of different shafts used around that year...

what do you all think
