dont need to weld aluminum the frame is steel on the ltr as far as i know the only 450 with a aluminum frame is the kawi but i do got a buddy that can weld aluiminum if i need it right now the only thing i need to figure out is how i can move my rear shock its in the way of the carb but i was thinking a plus 2 or 4 swing arm and then move the mount back and it should be good

Moving your rear shocks and or swing arms sounds like a recipe for everything to go wrong at the worst time.
Only in my opinion if it was such a good idea don't ya think Suzuki would have a production LTR500 Quad Racer model out in that configuration by now?
I'll keep my LTR450 Quad Racer in its production specs thank you very much it can be a handfull as it is I cannot think of the concept of why anyone in their right mind would think of removing a water cooled 450cc efi engine and put a 500cc 2smoker in its place.
But Alas its your quad be sure to let us know how it works out for you.

go for it!
I rode a friends quadzilla at Glamis last year......took it up Olds and that thing was way out of control from what I'm use to. Scary fast. Put that motor in a new technology vehicle and it could be sweet..
My buddy has two that they've had since new. One for him and one for his wife. They are in there 50's and ride the dunes for hours. One ride beat the hell out of me......not to mention kick starting the thing.
