Question how do i make my 230 faster?

I have a few questions on my quad-sport, Here is my current set up stock motor, cobra exhaust, uni airfilter, 13 tooth front sprocket, 22-in rear tires. I would like to do a motor rebuilt this winter I will have 200$ whats should I do, it smokes a very minimal amount right now but I want to rebuild it. I always run octane booster, and 87 whatever fuel, what kind of piston should I get, I would like to get like 10 over or 20 over, do i have to bore with 20 over i would like to get like a performance piston that makes it go faster but I dont have the money to have race fuel, so i need a piston that dosnt require race fuel or anything 87 octane. I have octane booster that I run in every tank, if you can post a link to it please but remember i only have a 200$ budget,
THANKS!

Chris, $200.00 isn't gonna get it done. If it is smoking a little, it could be worn rings, so you will need a new piston, rings, and a top end gasket kit at least. That alone will probably run you over the 2 bills. If you overbore, you are going to have to pay someone to do the machining. Unless you can do the work yourself, it may cost $200.00 just to pull the engine and replace it at todays' labor rates unfortunately. Good luck with you rebuild, it may be worthwhile to buy a shop manual for it, and find a buddy that knows his way around an engine to help you with the work.

Good advise.
Yes, with a bigger piston, you must bore it.
If it's only smoking a lil, maybe it's just valve seals. You prolly could get a gasket kit for 50-60 bucks.
IMO, ditch the octane stuff and run 92/93.
A piston (whether it raises comp or not) don't make speed.
I'd stick with a Suzuki piston if you need one.
How about a nice 14 front sprocket.

$200 isn't much to work with as stated. i think the valves just need adjusted. $50-
$100 at most shops. as for a piston wiseco all the way baby. and get it bored over as small as you possibly can. boring over will give you no extra HP. really, all of this wont make it "faster" but it will freshen it up

well i stoped it from smoking it was oil in the airfilter i got a new airfilter and it juts stoped smoking im guessing that it was that cause i cleaned it with regular motor oil, thats what the package said, i got a new UNI air filter and it works great, how much of a differnce will it make if i go from a 41 tooth rear sprocket to a 39? also is their any aftermarket front shocks, my stock fronts S-T-I-N-K but the guy before me that had it but a NICE fox shock on the back im not shure how but its amazing for keeping the rear end on the ground, do you know of any front shocks that are price is walet breaking. LOL

Thanks for all your help

I don't like the uni filters. I like the k&n ones. Now to help your question. I have a lt250r. I thought it was fast. Until one day out of no where the clutch started slipping real bad. So I put in a new Barnett clutch kit. And wow! This this screams now. All the power is getting to the ground now. So it maybe worth looking into a clutch rebuild. My Barnett kit is $150 on average but there are other kits out there like a Tusk brand for about $50. And use a good oil in there. I use Mobil 1 motorcycle oil. It's made for your wet clutch.
