"run in the feilds"... I clean the carbs on my buddies kids LT80's alot. They ride in a field behind his house. I couldn't believe the stuff that got in the carb and airbox.
What most don't realize is that the dirt comes in the vent. I feel that you should clean the carb again to make sure it just didn't get more dirt in it.
If it's clean, I'd do a compression check.

Hi LT80 thanks for all of your advice so far, I asked my dad what a compression check is so now i know but he is wondering about 'boiling the carb' . He has heard about people saying to boil the carb and i was wanting to know more about and you know alot about atv's. I was also hoping you could tell me what the proper procedure is for cleaning the carb as i have attempted to clean it but not sure if i done it correctly though, thanks Dazzy.
