i used BBQ grill paint. it says its good up to 1200 degrees. too bad i am stuck in the buckeye state, i would buy it from ya. i got two 230s' now and they are clones. no one can tell them apart. one stock and the other is a sleeper. i just roasted a 350 warrior and a 240 blaster today, hill climbing and cross country race at about a 4mile course that included the hill climbs in it. both yamahas are 2002 models. it wasw total their idea to play follow the leader and i guess you could say i'm still a novice rider with only 4 years experience, 1and a half years of which is my first clutched quad the 230s. i've rode other quads before but they were never mine and i never rode them far, just test drving them for friends. ive rode a 500 zilla 250x honda, 300ex and my first owned quad the little lt125 zuk.

Well I'm probably 15 hours deep so keep that in mind (not even finished painting or even started clear coating yet)

So the frame priming is complete, when done in a confined area with inproper ventilation you start to see little green men running around and **** after 2 cans

Cool All the blue is complete!

Mind the mess this is my grandfathers slob basement, everything but the exhaust has been clear coated now all using Plastikote products (primer/paint/clear)

I think it matches the Suzuki blue good enough, to give you an idea here is a photo without the flash:

You have already seen the exhaust pipe primed, here it is with the blue after drying for 48 hours (I knew I was going to run out so I decided to use what was left wisely and do a fade to green since I realized I would need 2 cans of green for the frame anyway)

Looks amazing, can't wait to see it together. Hopefully your using good paint that wont flake after a while, because thats the worst after doing all that work.
