ya my lt230 was fine and dandy until my wifes sister flipped it upsidedown in a ditch with 3-4 ft of water. at the time i worked a **** ton, and i didnt drive it so it sat for like a year... so now its been like 2 yrs lmao ... the oil drain plug cracked from water sitting in the bottom of it, the throttle and cable were rusted to crap, chain rusted, carb glued with 2 yr old gas in it.... ect... oh and the shift linkage fell apart today ... such rubbish the stock shift linkage.
soooo now i have that all tore apart as we speak, gotta finish it up tomorrow, got a new twist throttle, just need to figure out what to do about the shift linkage, that and hope the engine isnt seized lol

ya ... alot of people have banshee's .... the herd will thin out though lol since they stopped making them in (05 i think it was) thats why i like to make mine unique though lol besides goin fast.
for my next project i soooo wanna stick a gsxr1000 or 800cc snowmobile engine in a banshee frame omg that would be great, and unique.... although it has been done, not by to many though.
ps. one could argue by saying "ya alota people have a banshee, cuz there the bestttt" lmao

Nothing beats the compression of a single cylinder 500cc engine

Update
Haha oh my god, I invested such a small amount in this thing that I all but forgot I even owned it I've been goofing off and ****
I spent almost a half an hour trying to get that nut off the hub with a breaker bar until I was like 'oh yeah just use an impact wrench' and off it came in 3 seconds, not sure if it's bad for the engine for the gears to be slamming like that (had to have it in gear to remove nut) but ANYWAYS it was just an illusion this thing is smooth as a baby's *** I am just going to use it, so I put it back on.
Then I got the clutch components prepared, the metal disks and friction plates are soaking in I forget what I bought probably 10w40. I will flip those baby's after work tomorrow like a cheese burger and let them go at it for another 24 hours.

This is what I am going for, quadracer wanna-be
Anyway, by the time I made it to the bottom of that airbox the filter was gone and the cage was rusted to **** and I am NOT paying $50 for a new basket/filter when I only spent $60 on the thing!
I work at CAP (consumer auto parts) and we sell a lot of odd automotive things so this is what I came up with for $10 (with a $10 employee discount)
I highly recommend this product to everyone! You can remove rust from ANYWHERE on your quad for really cheap, just be careful because it causes cancer.
After repeating the application process 4 times and taking a wire brush to it this is what it looked like! I will repeat again tomorrow I only used half the bottle, it fizzes and bubbles up on contact of rust just like hydrogen peroxide on an open skin wound.

I rebuilt the carb this evening, these are all the old parts I replaced:
Look how bad that jet was clogged:
The bowl was gunked up too:
Took my time and cleaned it up real nice!
