Default 750 headlight pod on a 450 King Quad

Has anyone tried to put the handlebar mounted headlight pod from a 750 onto a 450. I actually ordered all the parts, but have not got them yet. I was just wondering about the wiring. Thanks

The ATVs are so similar but in motor size that I would bet the display wires would be the same color code and then you just splice the head light to you lower two lights. Good luck with it.

I figure it is all the same, but I can't find a wiring diagram anywhere. The lighting is very dim without the pod, and we do a lot of night rides, so I figured I would give it a whirl.

Thanks.

Another option is to buy new 55w bulbs for your headlights at Wal-Mart. I did and made a world of difference. One other thing to remember is that if you use your front rack for much of anything, the front pod is worthless.
I'll try to get the bulb type and make for you.

I put the 55w bulbs in as well as finished the installation of the headlight pod. I actually ran it off a three way toggle so that I can turn it on and off at will, instead of with the headlights. I didn't get a chance to ride it yet to see what this difference is, but we are going on Saturday night.

When you put the headlight pod on the 450 did you have to buy the whole thing including the instruments and gauges and all that or just the mount for the POD and all the plastic? Cause i want to buy a King 450 but i want the handelbar mounted headlight thats on the 750 too but i dont need all the power the 750 has and the 450 is cheaper too. Was it simple to mount and was it pricey?? Thanks
