Usually when 2 strokes want to rev high, it is a sign of an air leak , you are sucking in air, that leans out the motor, and it tries to run away on rpms. while it is idling, if it starts to rev, start spraying carb or brake cleaner around the carb, the intake, the head, and if the rpms suddenly change, you may have a leak.

yes, most likeley an air leak.

but dont run it for long when its revving high at idle like that!!! its wayyy too lean and that will KILL your topend in no time flat.

also check the crank seals

good luck!

You get inserts in the cases for the crank when the motor was rebuilt?
