Exclamation Help removing clutch on my 2001 LTA500F Quadmaster

Need to change the seal....I have the side cover off and need to remove the two nuts... I have a felling the nuts are metric , the imp..1-14 fits somewhat snug but I am not comfertable with it.....What is the metric size needed ???? AND do they come off counter clockwise ????? And to put them back on do they need to be torqued?????? Thanks Gabe......

well its definatley metric, and if a 1.25" socket fits, it should take a 31 or 30mm metric socket.

your best bet for the direction would be to just tap the starter button quickly and see what way the shafts rotate, the nuts should come off the opposite way.

and as far as torquing goes, is there some sort of locking device like bendy-tabs or something?

hope this helps and welcome to the forum!
