Default 95 quadrunner 4wd help

Yeah that sounds like the fuel pump mine does the same thing it won't idle unless I take off the line I took it apart and cleaned it out and everything and still didn't work. For the fuel pump the only thing I have been able to find is the whole thing from Mikuni for 50 bucks from bikebandit and it is under the aftermarket parts section.

Follow the fuel line from the petcock. Does it to directly to the carb or from the petcock to the "thing", then from there to the carb? You sure you hooked up all the hoses correctly?

Default 95 quadrunner 4wd help

no I am not positive that I have the lines hooked up correctly

I should have taken a picture of it before tearing it apart I guess

i had it hooked up differently than i do now and fuel shot out of the vacuum hose that is in question, which now that i think about it it must have a leak if it leaked fuel throughout the line. maybe I will just try replacing the vacuum line and see if that takes care of it

If you rebuilt the carb, you must kind of know which fitting went to the "needle and seat/float valve"? That fitting should be connected to the fuel line. The others will be vents or vacuum lines. There may be a vacuum line gong to your petcock diaphragm if applicable and would usually be on the intake side of the carb. The others, usually on the airbox side, if any would be vents that should not have vacuum when idling and go to drains or vents. Try looking at it and figuring it out in your mind. It's actually pretty simple if you take the time to work it out in your head. Or starting it up and checking which fitting has vacuum. More than any thing, I wold make sure you connected the fuel line to the right place...

Default Vacuum line to fuel pump.

I find it strange your machine runs without the vacuum line hooked up. the pump needs this in order to pump gas to the carb. It's possible the gas is forced to the carb if your tank is full but when it get low it may not work. the way I check a diaphram pump is , you blow into the vacuum side while the out to the carb. is disconnected. if the diaphram isn't leaking ,you cannot blow air through it.

Wink how to hook up lines to carb.

You should have only two lines coming from the front of the quad and the run up along the frame under the tank to the pump which is bolted to the frame .you can see it by looking under the mud guard ( left hand side looking over the front wheel ). the hose which has gas coming out goes to the carb and the dry line is the vacuum side of pump and this goes to the fitting on the front of the carb which is connected the front of the cylinder head by a black rubber thingie.
