Default 2009 ltz 400 or raptor 700?

Both are great ATVs but I think the z400 has a slight edge in handling, while the Raptor has a slight edge in power......... and since both are now EFI the choice is that much tougher...... I've not ridden a 2009 z400 but I hear they are even better...which is impressive since the originals were great.......If I were you I'd go to both dealers and sit on each machine and see which one feels better to you and work from there....

I agree the Z is the way to go unless you are very tall or have allot of experiance with quads, and no you will not outgrow the Z as the are a very buildable bike that has allot of potential!

Not knowing much abot the EFI on the 09's it hard to say but I am willing to bet that they can be built to run with any 450 out there! You need to sit on both and go with the one that you feel most comfortable on and fits you best!

Anything can be built to run and most will run faster than you could ever feel safe on anyway!

ok cause suzuki said to consider the Z400 before a 450 cause they were close in comparison and im sure that EFI will make it faster than the previous Z models i just hope it has enough power for me im always looking for more power! and from what ive heard, you cant really make the Z get more of a higher top speed

LOL you can make anything faster if you have the $$$$$$$, But as I said you need to go with the one that fits because you wand a machine that you ride and not a machine that rides you. Power should be second on your list of quads to buy JMO.

You can allways stroke abd bore anything if you have the money but most of the time it is more cost effective and more reliable just to buy a bigger machine.

If you have never rode a Z I would try it before making you final decision!
