rears are 26x12x12 itp mudlights fronts26x9x12 same. Real aggressive tread design. I did not put them on the previous owner did. But to 45 from 59 seems alot and no way tires did all this. It seems like at max throttle like it totally wants to go faster but like something has it governed down I don't know how else to explain it.

What kind of surface are you seeing 45mph on? My Eiger will do about 55 on flat pavement but only about 45 across a semi-rough field.

Do you have any kind of warranty on it? Did you buy it from a dealer and how long have you had it? You wouldn't think that just 1 size bigger make it loss that much top end , you would loss some but not that much . What dose your air filter look like? If it's realy dirty mybe that could be doing it. Where do you live? If it has that pease of S#$% paper air filter have a dealer or a real GOOD mechanic check it out and do a leak down and compression test. Keep in touch. I will ask the guy thats working on mine what could be doing it. Go a head and PM me or here is my email jhughes2499@charter.net Rebel700 "aka" Jeff

today I bought kM air filter before it had crap stock one. Throttle body looks clean but filter was dusty on the outside but clean on the inside. It has 4 year extended warranty but not sure if any of this is covered as I'm not sure if its broke.

That K&N filter is good one when if it is "NOT" dusty try not to run it real dusty conditions. If where you ride is dry and dusty have a good foam filter a hand to put in. For the money UNI is a real good one. Rebel700

rebel I live in oregon were the duck state as it rains alot. However during peak summer it gets dry and dusty for sure. I ride alot in the trail woods where its light dust not to bad. Otherwise will be rising alot on the oregon dunes its not dust but sand I hope this is fine there. Please ask your mechanic if he has any ideas a diffrent site mentioned somethign about the drive belt can cause top speed loss. I have not checked this yet but I'll try today If I can find out how. Thanks Alan

Hi Alan, Your drive belt could be worn if it was sliped alot. I asked him about mine and he said I have a lot of life lift in mine I have 1600 miles on it. How many miles is on yours I know of a few guys that have had over 6000 miles on a belt . It's now a big deal to check it, at lease on my it not. I don't think the 450KQ should different. You just have to take the right side foot rest off then take the clutch cover off. If you ga on a site called nyroc.com and go to tec tips you should be able to find it. Be careful on that site, it's a very good site for info but those boys like to do a lot of very pricey mods but if you have the money to spare thats ok too. What you could do is get your self a shop manual because a lot of it isn't hard to do. Be careful of what you so you don't void your warranty== Rebel700 "aka" Jeff

I have removed and inspected my drive belt there was dust in there but overall I would say everything looked fine. No cracks nothing in the belt. Is it possible that doing break in period it has a program in the ECU to limit its speed. Again it only has 350 miles on the qaud?

Alan, I checked with some peaple and looked on other sites, the issure you are having with your quad. I think if I was you I wounld take it to a good dealer. If you still have the stock filter put it back in until you get it back home, because if it would be a warranty issure Suzuki can't say it was do to a after market air filter like thay did with me. Good luck and keep in touch. Rebel700 "aka" Jeff
