Cutting the fenders tends to hurt both resale and mud/crud protection. You are only going to gain a "look" with that quad anyways. Just my opinion, I would leave the fenders as they are, or else try and buy something preformed in a racecut version. If you do try this yourself, do a search on the forum, as this topic gets hit upon every so often. I think some guys have had good luck with something like a coping saw and heated blade? If you have a real steady hand and lay out a pattern for the cuts beforehand, a Dremel tool may also work well.

like scooter said i wouldnt cut of the fenders, sport quads already have fairly poor mud protection. you could use pretty much anything to lob off the fenders.

you can use a dremel, sawzall, jigsaw, and many other things, ive cut them with a xacto knife set before, but i did that on my real early quads and it does really hurt your resale as it makes your quad look like crap if you dont do it real straight and clean. Id buy a plastic kit if i were going to do that, but now that im older and wiser i find no need for it to look any better my z looks fine from the factory.
