I took the exhaust off my 2006 lt50 but did not find any spacers or restrictors. The carb slide oon mine is opening all the way as well. I ordered a exhaust kit with the k&n filter from ct racing. I also sent them an e-mail on a possible cdi. They have a unit in the works but looks like July for it. Our neighbors cleared there lot next to ours and this thing could not even ride over the track marks left by the bulldozer.

The restrictors in the transmission not in the exhaust.... With the removable spacer out the little bike moves allot better, yea it could use a little more power but at least it climb hills now... It will go through the mud too, it doesn't blast through the mud but you know it moves; Oh I have a little whole in the intake box. I'm not to sure how much more that helps I did that and the spacer at the same time...
My daughter is mixing it up with her little 2007 ltz50.. check out her pic on my myspace page....

Jick,

The 4 stroke is a completely different beast for the 2 stroke model... The 4 stroke models main source of restriction is the CDI. And until that is improved no amount of Carb, pipe or clutch work is going to make any big difference... (Over and above removing the restriter ring in the clutch.)

Sorry but there are a lot of 2006 and up LTZ50 owners who have found this out the hard way.. With any luck my experiment with the LTZ90 CDI this weekend will bare some fruit...

Later,

Hibrass

I thought I was the only one with this issue. 2007 KFX50 4-STROKE with a crappy CDI. I guess all atv companies are doing this crap . I m gonna try the KFX90 CDI. Only 109.99 from BIKEBANDIT.COM .

Hello All!

Just a little update. I have the Z90 CDI and it does work on the LTZ50...! Now I haven't had the time to do a throrough eval yet but it does seem to have a higher rev limit. I have to go back over my clutch mod and then do a side by side comparsion. That will come later in the week.

More soon,

Hibrass

Ltz90 cdi box works!
Hibrass that's great news.... Full details

1)Worth the $200 bucks?
2)Is it a noticeable difference?
3)How's the torque from the idle on to an up hill?
4)Where we at with the mph
5)Simple install or some cutting involved

What about the CT racing CDI box that's should be coming out in a few weeks...
I ordered the ct racing intake and drilled some holes in the baffle of the exhaust and put in back in... The bike is running a lot better now...
Where's the torque on this thing for the hill climb;
torque
