Default Fuel help

I've been told that running a high octane fuel or race fuel makes the ltr 450 come alive, has anyone ran anything similar? and i was wandering if running that fuel will mess may warranty up? and what should i watch out for with running high octane fuels?

High octane fuel will not hurt anything but it will not help your performance unless you have a high compression engine.I'd just run what is recomended for your bike. But if you still want to run high octane then go ahead it wont hurt it.

Running high octane fuel is a good thing that can even help your engine last longer. I have a buddy that has an LTR450 with a pipe and a Cherry Bomb. He has been running VP 110 Octane and his bike runs really strong on the race gas. I have a very hopped up Z440 and when the LTR is on race gas he can run right with me. Expect to pat about $50.00 per 5 gallons for the good stuff though.....

but is it bad to leave in engine or tank or something like that? i heard something about that and do you think it'll mess up my warranty, and is it cheaper to go to the airport and buy high octane or buy racing fuel and which is better?

You will gain nothing by running race fuel. If you quad is stock then run the fuel that the manufacture recomends. You will gain HP by running an oxygenated fuel. But that can get VERY pricey.

91 octane is all you need. Don't spend the $$$$ on race fuel when you don't need it, if you want to boost your octane put in the Trick additive with 91 octane. I believe 3oz per gallon, but read the instructions on the can first.
