+1.... I've gotten used to not using reverse.... not that big of a necessity! I'd still put the LTR first... followed by the KFX.. and then the TRX. But I guess how much the dealer is willing to budge will play a part.

In Canada, in October, 2008, the price of my LTR (like the base price, no taxes, registration, accessories, trade-ins, whatever) was $6895. That was like 3 months ago, in Canada. I'm sure there would be no problem getting an 08 LTR for a few hundred dollars more than the Honda. I also got a free 1 year warranty, free under-engine skid plate, and $1000 on my trade in (a 2007 Baja 90 that we paid $800 for).

Well in the U.S the Suzuki is $7699 for the base 450R and $7799 for the limited edition. Dude, I tried to get dealers local to me to come down to the Honda dealers prices in Tennessee and they refused. I guess in their eyes a lost sale is better than just making a few hundred dollars. I drove 4 hours to get my 700xx in TN for just over $5,500 in December.
In Canada, the list price of the LTR450 limited edition is $9,999. Surprising that dealers up here are more willing to move on the price. I bought it at a show though, maybe that is why. Someone on the LTR forums said this though "I have found left over 08s for 5695-5895. The place was in NJ." So maybe it just depends on what state/province you're in. Honda wasn't even at the ATV show in Toronto.
Can Am is also usually pretty easy to move on prices in the greater toronto area. But the ATV market in Ontario is huge, so I guess as long as they make a few hundred dollars that's fine. We have riders who ride around the huge farming areas, farmers buying them for maintenance work, people buying them for tracks, and the huge market of ATVS for our cottage country.

O ya, if you feel safe buying it is a good time. At the moment I bet I could find 10 450R's around here. Right now they are all asking close to what they are worth but, with that much competition if one was to hit those people up in 3 months it's a guaranteed deal!

trails are more suited for big bore trail atvs,
options there vary from outlaws to raptors to hondas new 700xx.
