Default Z400 OR 660??

Hey. My Friend was looking to get a new quad, he has some experience with a Mojave, which got stolen about 6 months ago. He was thinking of either a Z400 Or a Rapter 660R. What is the pro's and con's about each? He will mostly be riding trails, looking for best overall quad. any help is appreicated. Also, he is looking to do some aftermarket performance, pipe, filter, jet, ect. ps. Wants to hang with LT!!

Thats a hard choice cause they both are killer quads and they both mod up real well. Theres no doubt that I believe the Z will handle better but both would be great trail machines. On the other hand the Raptor has killer power.........much more than a Z. How tall is your friend? Reason being I think a taller rider has more leverage and that would really help the Raptor out in the handling dept.............just a thought.

I think with his small size the Z would be a better option but you can't go wrong with either of those bikes.

Yea, this is a tough choice weve been trying to decide. I dont know, we like how the Z400 is really good overall, but the rapter just has that 260 extra CC, thats a whole 300ex motor! i dont know, i think he will go with the Z because he sees how great my LT has hung up over the years. thanks for all help/oppinions

Have him get the Z, that way it will take a lot more into his quad for him to beat you.

Either quad would be a great choice. If he is going to be looking for more power after he gets it, might as well get the raptor now. If he is going to leave the performance stock and just wants a nice ride, either would work fine.

This is the hardest decision. I try to put me in his position. i think about the Z and say, yea, definitaly the Z, then i look at the rappy and im like, screew that, get the yammy! Which do you think is more reliable. Im sure he is going to keep it pretty stock, just pipe, jet,K&N,cam, basic mods. Thanks for all help so far, your making it eaiser and harder at the same time
