Depends on how slow you want to go, and how much room you have, man.

Typically I ride in an area that doesn't have a ton of space so I just do tricks in 1st. If I have a little more room I will run in 2nd and 3rd.

If you are on a road or something you can pull it up in 4th or 5th, but I don't do many tricks in those gears...just basic ones like flamingos, nac-nacs, can-cans, one-handers, etc....

For learning purposes I would try 3rd or 2nd....it's a little easier to get used to the throttle control.

Have fun!

You have to have your idle in the right spot.....don't overdue the brakes.

I can keep the front end in the air for about 1/2 a minute.
