well i really like the 400ex...i was really looking into buying one but then i saw a video of a guy riding a banshee on this mx track and it really got me thinking how much more work is it to own a banshee then a 400ex and what would i have to do to it to make it a really good for trails and tracks?

Either bike would be a good choice. But to be competative, you will need wider a-arms, longer axle, and good shocks for tracks. As for trails skid plates would help. There are other ways to go. The Banshee will give more hp but need to be reved up to get the hp. The 400ex has good low end but lacks the big hp to pull from most other quads. These quads would both benefit from pipes and jetting. Other motor mods will help aswell.

well, they are both great machines... however. if something goes wrong with the shee, or you wanna maybe upgrade something, you have to buy 2 of each part becuase the shee is 2 cylinders. if you're gonna ride mostly trails and just a little bit of track, and don't really plan on modding the thing to the sky, then i would say get the 400.

Get a 400EX I love mine! Also why would you need a Shee if they're just made for dunes? I'm sure that guy you saw in that video has put his life salary so it can beat a EX on the track. LOL
