Hawkeye 300 battery exploded now no spark
Hi my mate got an 07 hawkeye 300 he was getting ready to go out a few days ago and as he tried to start the quad the battery exploded was pretty loud to anyway since then he has fitted new battery but quad won't start so removed the plug and there is no spark from the coil , I'm thinking along the lines off a blown cdi box there was an inline fuse on the battery lead that popped when the battery went but have replaced that but still nothing
Anyone have any info I would be very grateful to hear it as I'm considering buying it off him as a non runner as long as it's not going to be to much to fix I will give it to my daughter then to come out with me on my magnum , she is 9 and only been riding a lt50 and lt80 for about 6 months but she been coming on my magnum with me for years , hopefully I can get it sorted and surprise her with it next weekend
Cheers

You can visually inspect wiring for any damage, but for further checks you need a manual for electrical trouble shooting and specs on checking the stator, coil, etc.Could just be a fluke accident on the battery exploding or could have been caused by a defective stator or regulator rectifier voltage overcharge or voltage spike, especially since damage went past the inline fuse. 2007 Polaris Hawkeye Service Manual PDF Download
