Parts availibilty on Fuji engines??
Now that the 455cc Fuji in my 400HO is no longer offered by Polaris, how long are they legally obligated to keep service parts flowing? Will Fuji keep them flowing for a while yet?
And I wonder how the 327cc engine that replaced my 455cc will do? Guessing not nearly as much torque.
Could be an Outty for me next time out, don't need a near 600cc atv.

Theoretically most cycle/atv manufacturers as a rule keep parts available for around 10 years DEPENDING on how many years it may have been in production. At least what I've learned over the years talking to various people, dealers, engineers. Some even longer. I can still find"hard" parts along with body parts for my 22 year old Honda. Plus aftermarket companies are showing up every day. Just look at the knock off/aftermarket cams for the 400 and 500 engines on Ebay.Pistons aren't a problem along with items such as strut cartridges, ball joints, etc. By the time parts are NLA,in a lot of cases people don't even own the same machine and have moved on to different models or out of atvs, cycles, etc. Except hard cases like me that hardly even ride any more, but still hang on to things...Don't think you'll have to worry too awful much. If there is a demand somewhere there will be a supplier out to make a buck. PS the guy I sold my 1976 RD400 Yamaha to years ago has found a place that makes replica tank decals, etc for his bike..
