The vent line at the very top of the oil tank. When you do prime a pump, this hose has to be clamped with a pair of vice grips close to the tank nipple because of a small condensation slit in the hose about 2 inches out from the tank.Crank the machine up and after a couple minutes you can pull the vice grips off. If you have good ears you can usually hear a hiss of air from the tank. Again I only did this when I cleaned tank screens or on engine rebuilds. Just run the engine, you'll be able to tell real quick if something is wrong. Hopefully again it's a clutch problem, but you never know on a used machine.

Doesn't hurt a bit to use 5w50. Plus that's what weight you get in PS4 Polaris oil now.http://polarislubricants.com/atv.asp

A flat spot? Or 'hour glassed'? Idling in gear, being in the wrong range will do that.

Have you cleaned the clutches?
