Might want to call you local dealer and explain to them what happened. They may be able to get you a key, or you could call a locksmith and see what they say. Seems like you needed a code that came with the keys. If I remember correctly, it was a small metal tab. On mine, I think it was attached to the key ring when I bought the quad. They did say to keep it separate from the key.

You may have to buy a couple of the key blanks as they are numbered for the machines( some models may have more than a couple different number blanks ) and have a locksmith fit it,but don't know if this would cost more than the switch?? OPT

Just had this happen to Grandsons atv..Found new complete switch and keys on ebay for 62.00 with free shipping..You may want to check this out or go to cheapcyclesparts warehouse..
Polaris states you have to buy a new ignition switch if you lose both your keys(at least they did till 6-2008 when I quit the dealership) Anyway Im not sure on the very late model stuff but I have taken ignition switches to a locksmith here in town and he cut keys(he even has had all the blanks Ive ever needed) using the switch itself. It cost about 25.00 total and he cuts 2 keys. I do remember the number on your old keys was actually a key blank, rather than a cut key, and then it could then be cut with an existing key(which of course you don't have at the moment)
My 2003 330 magnum key works on my 2001 500 sportsman...a convenient lil deal...Might be worth a try to find a buddy with another polaris and just get another keey made form theres if in fact it wekrs out for ya.
went to the dealer and just got a new ignition switch got it for $85 up and running now
Put one of the keys in a safe place, so you don't have to go through this again! Don't keep both keys on a single key chain as I've see a lot of people do,plus keeping a blank or extra cut key with it's not a bad idea especially if you have multiple operators OPT
