Depends. If I work it hard, more. If I don't, less often.

Never. If it isn't broke, don't fix it...

When to replace the CVT belt

I had 1700 miles on my Teryx before the belt broke.
Why aren't you guys going to Maine with Troy and me?

car manufacturers also tell you to change your motor oil every 3000 miles
How often do you think anyone pulls off their cvt cover and measures their belt? Maybe before a long atv camping trip, or after 3000 miles on the same belt- but even then, I'm more apt to just carry a spare and wait for an indication of failure (why pull the cover off twice?) If I'm pulling the cover, then i'm replacing the belt regardless.
on that note- it would be nice to see manufacturers incorporate an easier access panel to inspect the cvt belt- it's a pain in the *** now- having to work around the foot well and contorting the cover to remove & replace it, hoping the seal stays lined up and not pinched.

That's a good idea the only problem with it I see is even more places for it to leak from.

I just replace the belt at 2000 miles need it or not, since it only cost $70 and takes 25 minutes to change I think having a new belt every 3 years is worth it. I might put 600 miles on a ATV a years tops.
We have brutal long 4 month long winters and I use a sled in the winter so the ATV does alot of sitting time.
