Default 2007 800 AWD problem, please help.

Well at 3200 miles now I seem to have my first NON warranty problem. Can someone tell me what this could be, I have stock tires and rims. Last weekend it felt like it would not disengage, even wen letting off the gas. put it in reverse and gave it a shot, and put it back in high and it seemed okay, today I went for a ride around home and put it in AWD to get through a ditch and all 4 wheels spun, then about 20 min. later had to put it back in AWD and it showed it was in on my pod, but only the 2 rear wheels will spin with NO front, could it be unplugged and if so how do you check and what do I do, I just changed the oil in the front end, didn't seem milky or anything. Could this have to do with the front plastic cage I read about on HL forums. I would assume it would be only the machines with those big tire kits, but maybe I"m wrong.

Well the other night I jacked it up with the 4 wheels in the air, and started the bike, put it in AWD, and gave it gas, well my front right wheel was turning, so was the front driveshaft, BUT I was able to stop the tire with my hand from spinning.

Does this sound like the cage, as if the front drive shaft turned. My dealer told me to put only 4 ounces of the polaris diff oil in, as 5 is too much even though the manual says that.

Also I read about John Deere parts, but mine being an 2007, I hear they don't fit, can anyone comment if I do need another cage.

Thanks

Here is a link to a post from a few weeks ago. I have an 06 800 that had an AWD issue. I'm not sure exactly what my problem was, but it was either the armature plate, or the cage. They are the only 2 parts that i replace other than the seal kit, and it seems to work fine now. The link also has some part numbers that you may need. Not sure if they changed anything in 07. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, but ya it was changed supposely in 2007, and NO I don't have ADC, so I'm just wondering, I can't be the first 2007 with these problems.

Any info is great.

3200 miles before exploding your plastic roller cage into a million pieces! You did well.

I thought there was another company that made the metal versions besides John deer or contact Hilliard Industrial Clutches, Brakes, and Oil Filtration directly and purchase from them. They supply Polaris.

Its what I did with my Polaris Fan built by "SPAL" I bought a new fan from SPAL,S web site and they gave me my exact same fan(Model number and all) they supply to Polaris for $80 vs the dealer's price of $320.

Thanks for the link TLC. they were very helpful and offered to fix it if I ship it to them. Problem is from Canada, it will cost alot. So not sure yet.

Does anyone else know about John deere parts with a 2007 800, or any other companies, or fixes for that matter.

THanks

I believe 07 are the same as Razors If this is true get the aluminum cage from jj&A racing 260$ and never worry about the cage again. I have broken at least 10 cages and noone makes a better one for 05

Those cages should be a recall, or Polaris should go back to its old twin hub set up.

Just reading up on this plastic cage thing- is this something I should be concerned with on my 06 sp 800?

I'm heading to canada in august for some serious riding, now I'm all worried. My bike currently has about 260 miles on it- and I just purchased a new set of 27" zilla's for my 14" rims.
