I also had problem's right off the bat with a Honda Rancher ES I had. Lucky they gave you a tool to get it into gear! Polaris, Honda, Can Am's, all have problem's sometimes right off the floor. Doing something about it is the important part.

Mine is in the shop right now having the rear axles replaced. It's a known issue. Be thankful it's an easy fix and you don't have to fight to have the work done.

Listen for a clicking sound in the rear end. It's not a huge deal, but it is obvious if you're not deaf. Polaris is taking hundreds of bikes back for warranted work, one would think this is taken care of....right?

I don't blame you. There's no excuse for the issues... axles, premature brake wear issues, DANGEROUS ball joints wear and breakage issues, belt issues, switch issues, plug fouling... and a few others.

Sure, all ATV's have some issues. However, the XP was the suppose to be the "state of the art" engineered ATV. In some ways it may be... but in others it still seems to be lacking.

Polaris is using YOUR money to fix THEIR issues.

Maybe in another year or two they will get most of this stuff worked out.

I'm sure glad I waited... and will wait a while longer.

Good luck with your ride.

ya me too, but they haven't fixed mine yet. the dealer i bought it from called me today & said he was working on getting my warranty activated!! but Polaris was giving him the run around.... & he doesn't know when its going to happen... watch i will keep using my quad then they will say i have to many miles on it.....
Try giving Stephen Fulop over at Polaris a call in regards to your warranty. His number is 763-513-3418.

He may be able to shed some light for you.

I find it very disappointing to read that some owners here are being hassled by their Dealer about fixing a well-know issue!

Is it a bad uncaring dealer or is it the Mfg Polaris not standing behind their product?

I think Polaris is actually taking care of the issue and it is more a dealer problem. My 850 was out of warranty and they just replaced my axles. They were only covering parts and I had to pay half the labor because I had been talking to the dealer about the axle noise since I had 10 hours on my machine. I just live a very inconvenient distance from the dealer.
Take good care

I can't believe that Polaris isn't taking care of a know problem whether ot not it's still under warranty, what a bunch of crap. Why wont they stand behind their product?

Good question, Polaris wouldn't replace the rear sub-frame on my Hawk even though they knew the problem with it was an engineering flaw. The new part cost me $280 with the work done myself. I love Polaris products...but their customer service may be the one thing from keeping me from buying another of their bikes.......lol maybe!!!!
