I would complain ALOT, and find a new dealer if needed. Polaris responds pretty well to customer complaints. It also has ALOT to do with how the dealer submits the claim. I have returned a machine (full refund) before, and had them pull a machine off the showroom floor to cannibalize for parts. Talk to your dealer, not the service writer or service manager, go right to the general manager and sit in his office until you are satisfied.

I agree 100%!
Sounds like a bad dealer not a Polaris USA problem!

I agree with the others here sounds like a bad dealer.

Any dealer that sells a $9K ATV and won't fix the clicking problem which there is a bulletin/recall on sure if classified as a bad dealer in my book!

Find a new dealer.

You are not asking for something that costs the dealer a penny out of their pocket! They are paid generously by Polaris to complete the bulletin. Maybe your dealer is on the verge of going out of business or planning to drop Polaris in the near future and fear reinbursement issues?

I have a 2009 XP 850 with the rear clicking problem. The dealer has ordered two new rear axles and it's covered under the warranty. The dealer has been great. Absolutely no issue.

Just as a side bar, has the rear axle clicking issue been corrected in the 2010 model? Or should I be listening for something?

Ok here is what happened... the dealer that i usually use is not the one that i bought my 850 from, only because I was impatient & wanted it ASAP. So the dealer that i got it from basically screwed me out of my 2 year warranty!! I was told at the time i bought the 850 that if I owned a pervious sportsman that I would get a free 2 year service plan, well the dealer never gave me the warranty. Now the dealer that I like said polaris will not replace my axle's because its out of warranty & the dealer that i bought it from said since my warranty never got processed @ the time of the sale that polaris won't fix my axle's.... So basically the dealer that i bought it from screwed me & polaris won't stand by there product... so that's 2 dealers in New England that said Polaris won't replace my axle's on a bike that now only has 88 miles & 22 hrs... can someone get me some info on the service bulletin or the contact info on polaris rep? I really cant believe they wont give the dealer the green light to fix my quad... thanks guys

Well...that is sad...he didn't actually lie to you,but apparently didn't give you enough info...if you were a previous Sportsman owner and bought an XP you could have gotten a 2 yr warranty(there was a end date to the deal I think, but don't remember what it was)...but you would have had to do the leg work yourself, the dealers really had nothing to do with that offer, they got no info on it AFAIK,he must have just heard about it....you had to fill out an online form and enter the VIN from your previous Sportsman, and as long as it had been registered to you in Polaris's system you got the 2yr warranty and a Billet shift knob free..
Also AFAIK everyone who had a previous Sportsman registerd to them through Polaris got a mail out about the warranty..but of course that would depend on whether Polaris had your current address ect..
Previous Sportsman owners who didn't have the machine registered to them through Polaris, such as they bought it used, could still get the warranty but it required some additional paperwork.

Probably a long shot but you could try calling Stephen Fulop,he handled all the free extended warranty offers for Polaris when I got mine...his number is 763 513-3418. I would have your previous Sportsman VIN info and dates ect handy and tell him your story and see if he can help you...
