i have a polaris 500 sportsman- we rode into the woods, turned off atv went to leave no start- got home no spark traced back to stator-had a bad winding-replaced stator. fired up instantly & went for a 5 min ride turned off
and went to restart - no spark again checked conn. all were good- started up after a few minutes, ran for 3-4 min died- while i had no spark i checked stator and the resistance went to 5 ohms after it sat again the stator cooled
& went back to 498ohms- so i got another stator replaced it again & the samething happened- gets warm no spark-
any ideas on what to search for???
