Default Old Polaris Electric Start

I just got a 2000 Polaris Trail Boss 325. I think it is supposed to have elctric start, however, I have no idea how it works. The person that sold it to me said it worked but I didn't get a working battery with the atv. How does this year electric start work? The key does not move past the "on" position and the only button is a yellow reverse override button.

On some of the Polaris models, the kill switch was the starter button. You had to slide the kill switch on the left handlebar to the middle and then you could push it up and activate the starter. I wasn't able to verify what years/models this setup was used on. It is electric start, though.

I also think the OFF*RUN*OFF switch should push up to start, when in the ON position.

Excellent. Just tried it and looks like the kill switch moves up. Now to get a battery for this thing and see if it still works.

Great!! Keep us posted on how it goes when you get a battery for it. I own a motorcycle shop and can get you batteries for cheap. If you want me to get you a price, just send me your address(or just zip code) and I will check. Thanks and good luck.
