Extended Warranty...

[09' Sportsman XP 850]

I was under the impression when I purchased my 2009 850 XP that I would be able to buy extended warranty for $150, before my original 6 months of warranty ran out. I called the dealer today and they told me extended warranty is still available, but much more expensive because i didnt buy it the day I picked up my bike.

Has anyone purchase this extended warranty? If so how much did it cost you?

My dealer quoted me $ 884.00 - 10% (Canadian) for 24 months.

$150 is a great price, I had spent $600 some change (Ext-4yrs) but that was on my old Sp450's. I don't believe I would do it again. But its one of those catch-22's, everyone has to figure whats best for them! -- IMO

i am also wondering about the same thing right now, pay the $600 some USD for the 2 year extended warranty, or not.. one major repair will cost way more then 600$......

Buy you a service manual and tell the dealer to shove the extended warranty.Most are a joke any way

Had it on the 400ho and when the front diff went out it saved me $1300.00. $50.00 deductible.

I just had to put 2 new rear axles in my 850 XP, less then 1000 kms on the bike...took it into the dealer 2 DAYS before my warranty ran out...

I always thought the extended warranty was a waste of $$.

My '08 X2 came with a free extended warranty and it actually came in handy when my "turf mode" feature stoped working.

I have no idea what it would have cost to repair it but FREE sure was nice! LOL!

I still don't think $884 for 2 yrs is worth it.

$600 for 4 yrs? That sounds like a good deal..................read the fine print though! (Sounds too good to be true.)
