When they came out last year the ads said that the camo would NOT turn purple or fade out like previous camo's did. It's up to you if you want to believe them, there was not a guarantee that it would not turn purple.

No debate on IF a good deal with all the extras comparing it to seperate purchases BUT when ya don't have the $$$ ya don't have it. My dealer told me that these are the new Sportsmans NO more 450, 500 or 700 models. I take from that it may mean no more former style Sportsmans like mine? Its all XP type 550 and up?

Cheers,

R'

Boy, I hope not....Everyone knows that their plain old sp 500 was very reliable and was like their trademark in ATV's....

So it sounds like for the added $1000 or so, it might not turn purple in a few years. Has Polaris corporate kept up with the rest of the world? Last I checked, we are in a recession. Pricing like this is just going to make people turn away from their products and heat up the secondary markets. I bought my '06 700 EFI for less than $4k and a '01 Dodge Dakota 4x4 for less than $5k, both from ebay. They both run great. It does take a little work and patience to find deals like these but with the price of new, its worth it.

The increase in price is for the EPS.

Myself, I don't pay for LE models unless you get something more than paint. To me it's silly paying for Camo. I only hunt a few months out of the year. The rest of the year it looks silly. I don't wear my camo clothes outside of hunting season either.

Don't get me wrong, the camo looks good, just not the entire year. JMO

I would have a red XP is the black would have been an LE color.

Sorry, I posted before looking. The difference, like Roofer said is for the eps. The 2009 did not have eps. I am glad.

Well, golly JimBob! Aren't u the par-tick-u-lar guy. Camo is for weddings (the shotgun enforced kind), proms, black tie affairs and more. Yee-haw... Just kidding Roofer. I only wear camo for hunting and paintball. It doesn't do so much good in paintball anymore as the younguns know what my oversized bushlike appearance is now.
