Hey everyone, I'm interested in buying a set of tracks for my Polaris Sportsman 800EFI. I was wondering if anyone is using any different brands now and what they think of them. looking to use mainly in winter and maybe trying all season also. thanks.
Do "snow only" tracks have a advantage over "dual purpose dirt/snow" track in the snow? I have seen Track ATVs go in deep soft snow trails that my snowmobiles would get stuck in.

I regularly travel in 8-10 ft deep snow & haven't got stuck. The snowmobiles travel well in it but can;t slow down in the deep powder. Kind of like keeping a boat on "plane".
No advantage to Snow Only. All tracks do about the same job in snow as they all have approx 15 sq. ft . of floatation.
4 seasons differ in that they use mainly bogey wheels were snow only use slider + bogeys.
Tatou snow only can be used in dry conditions, at slow speeds, for up to ten miles.

Some 4 season tracks have sliders also but use them to keep the track running straight like a guide rather than the main support, but obviously the bogeys run better in dry conditions.
