I personally think it's the battery, because when I bought this bike brand new from the dealer I was told that the stock batteries are not that great and do not last long. I think I was being set up. I probably recvd. a used battery with my brand new bike and now it just wont hold a charge due to a bad cell. I'll never forget the tech going through the delivery with me and saying that.

No matter what I do I need to start with a new battery so off to store I go.

Thanks again for all the help!

some times is the issue of a dealer not fully charging the battery up before deleivery and you go and use it and the battery doesn't seem to last as long and dosn't seem to have the same strenght as a battery that was correctly charged in the beginning of its life.

That could be it too. Either way, the dealer is not going to help a day over the 6 month warranty. I've checked into it.

I called Polaris and they said it's up to the dealer to call tech support. The dealer says tech support will not warranty it without even calling. Great cooperation here!

To be completely honest, this situation is my fault for not acting on this prior to the warranty running out. However, I did call the dealer prior and I just did not want to bring in the whole bike for a bad battery. As far as I'm concerned the dealer does not work on my behalf at all. They take the sale and thats it.

It is probably rare to have a problem within 6 months and they really have no investment out of their revenue if there is. I'm upset that I didn't act and upset that they will not call tech support to at least ask.

This machine sat for a full year without assembly.

Extremely pissed at the whole deal! Over a $100.00 battery.

Polaris really should focus on better customer service. In my situation they were notified of the problem and should make good on it. They should at least consider it. I could understand if the bike was abused or showed signs of abuse but my bike looks as if I just took delivery. I wash it after each use. I'm quite mental about putting it away dirty. The neighbors ridicule me about it, as they should.

Is this what I get for $8000.00?

OH boy.....not even a kiss.

Thank you Polaris. (American Made)

I wonder how much better Honda, Bombardier, & Suzuki's warranties are?

I'm done ranting.....

BTW, the machine is a beast. Not much holds her back, except a crappy battery.

when you buy a new battery, you might want to get tha gel filled one, a little more expensive but a lot better battery, Ive been replacing customers batteries with these for 2 years and havent had any problems with them.

You know that is the kind of info I could really use. I'm about to go over to Interstate and buy a FAYIX30L battery. I've been told that this far exceeds the original battery's spec's. Could you send some links as to where to find the battery you suggesting?

Thanks,

Those factory batteries are a joke, you get a season out of them, if you ride them. I'm on my second battery as well, keep a battery tender on it when not in use
