I have an 01' Polaris Magnum 325. I put a 2" lift, 1.5" wheel spacers, 26" mudlites on itp wheels, gorilla axels(i kept braking oem ones), dynojet jet kit, moose air filter, super trapp exhaust, and a homemade snorkel kit on it. I love this machine but it doesn't quite have the power I need. I'm considering swapping out the stock engine for a 500-600cc one with efi. Will the increased torque/power be too much for the differentials and AWD components to handle? Also any suggestions on a good motor? The stock engine is going to have to be rebuilt soon so I'm trying to find out my best course of action. I'd greatly appreciate any feedback.
I have the same 4 wheeler, just got done installing a home made snorkel on it, what a pain in the a$$. Did the other improvements make a big difference from the stock power?
You might have an easier time putting in a 500HO engine in it. They did have a Magnum 500 for a few years so the components you would need are out there.

What can be said of this mystery we're in, I have only one answer to give. If Jesus didn't die to be the Savior of my soul, truly, I do not want to live. For what would living be without a meaning and a hope? Precious little more than just some cruel cosmic joke. It's like being all dressed up and there was never even anywhere to go...
There is no straight swap for a 325, to go to a 500 or even 425 you would have to put a rad/ fan and a new carb the 31mm will not work with the bigger single cylinders. Going to a 600 twin would be even more work.
By the time your done, buying a used larger ATV would be cheaper and easier. If you can do it your 325 can Handle the power, the 325 is still a full size chassis and shares the same drive line parts as larger Polaris ATVs.

Thanks for all the replies. 1 Bad Honda, the added upgrades I made did make a significant difference in the power, but once I put the 26" mudlites on it, the power dropped. So pretty much all the upgrades I did just allowed me to put on larger tires with near the same power I had before I put them on. TLC, I'm finding out more and more that your right on track. I'm having trouble finding parts that won't cost me my first born. I think I'm just going to keep an eye out for a deal on something that will work, or end up buying a new quad and rebuilding my magnum for friends to use. Thanks for all the input. This is a great resource for giving/recieving info and as a place to see what others are doing with their quads.
Yea I gave him a call. Thanks drlang. He said he has a few parts for it, but hes not expecting any more kits in until the Spring. I got a quote for the kit, which isn't bad at all. If I haven't figured out anything by then I'll call him up again.
