Default Dies in water or mud???

Ok so today I hit this mud hole at low speeds and the bike started to spit and sputter and then it died on me and after that when I gave it some throttle it would get to about 25 mph and start to spit and sputter and wouldn't go faster. I can cruise along at a good speed but if I nail the throttle it starts to spit and sputter on me.

But it rode perfect until I hit this mud/water hole.

Anyone have thoughts??

I would check your electrical connections and intakes first, sounds like somthing is wet or possible water injestion.

It happend before and I thought it was just because the exhaust pipe was under water and that time it cleared right up once I got the atv out of the hole, this time it died in the mud hole and then go through a water corssing (not deep at all ) it died, Ive gone through this hole a 100 times the same way and never a issue. Once I got it started back up it run good at idle and when I take off to drive once I hit about 30mph its starts to bog down.

I had a similar issue with the coil connector (not the wire side) getting wet so I just greased the hell out of it and narry a problem again.

My 06SP800 has the coil in the left front fender well, right where all the water gets splashed.

It was a one time thing. Greased the connector and was good.
