Default replacing axles in 2002 sportsman 400 need some info and help

Hi Im working on a buddies 2002 Sportsman 400, it has 4 bad axles in it and he wants me to replace all of them. I run my own private snowmobile atv repair shop out of my garage but I have never done axles on a sportsman so I thought I would ask. how do you replace the axles in these? what all has to come off? these are different hubs then the cat so before I start digging into it I would like to have an idea of what to do and what to start off with, I know I could figure it all out but I would rather have some knolage about it before I dig in. Also if someone could help me out finding a repair manual that would be great, I found some for the yamaha I rebuilt and all the cat 4 wheelers but not sure where to look for a free sportsman manual.

Thanks in advance for all the help I really appreciate it.

the cv shafts just pop out of the wheeler(if you dont have the U joints type)w/ a big snap as they have a clip on the inside. there fairly easy to do once you start getting into it. sometimes all the build up mud and crap make them come out hard and you need to try to soak them in pentrating oil first. as far as a manual goes, there some out there i do beleave as one of the memebers here has found them if he chimes in w/ the info.

Hey thanks for the help, I thought they would be pretty easy as I have done them on cats before but never did one on a polaris, sounds pretty easy but like you said depending on the age miles mud and neglect they can be hard to get out.
