I put a stock spring replacement on the rear of my 2006 Sp 450 and did not use a spring compressor. would have made it alot easier though!!...LOL...

I used two ratchet straps and needed to center them just right on both sides for the proper compression on the spring......

The rear springs will not give you any more lift .......R'...........they will help with the "SAG"
when any weight is applied.........The shock in the rear spring will only extend to the same hieght no matter what the coil rate of the spring is.

The EPI springs wont normally change the ride height unless your stock springs are sacked out. These springs will help keep your machine from sagging so much. So the height difference depends on two main things, how much your stock springs are sagging and also how much weight you are carrying. I'm assuming HL does the same.

Thanks everyone! I am not looking for lift. I need the HD springs to handle the weight of my log splitter and to handle the plow a little better. I was thinking of getting a Ranger but it is just to big for my yard. Thanks again!

Yea, that is the reason why I think I would like to replace mine with stiffer springs to help with the squatting issue. I do not want anymore lift just no more depression with the rear setup.

Whos rear springs would be closests to Polaris springs for comfort if I decide to replace my OEM ones? EPI or Highlifter or something else?

stiffer springs does not=comfort.....
I bought Polaris for the "SOFT" ride.....
So I really don't think there is anything out there close to Polaris for comfort..

Yes if you are a 150lb guy and dont have anything on your machine the stiffer springs will bounce you around some. But if you are a heavier guy or have a heavy load the stiffer springs will help a lot. The rate on EPI Springs are aprox 25% stiffer then the stock ones.

i have Highlifter Hd springs front and rear with a 2"spacer between the springs just to stiffin them up and they are cranked all the way up.....but as for just the springs they are awesome.........go with HD springs all the way around........
